I usually hate images where dominant women are portrayed wearing impractical clothing. Here, at least they’re wearing sturdy, practical looking shoes. And I’d make the exception anyway, because the expressions on the men’s faces are just so damn perfect.

The dust, the dirt. The coarseness of the rope. The natural looking wood. The way that coarse rope is absolutely digging into his skin. The way it must hurt more every time he dares to move just a bit. I like to imagine that aside from this set-up, he’s otherwise free to move as he pleases. And as soon as this photo was taken, he had to get up and get back to work, with all that coarse rope still in place.
